didnt end up mattering because everyone suddenly remembered how to play baseball in the 11th inning. and white sox bullpen bad and andrew benintendi washed. so yeah. we love a series sweep!

you asked for it buddy here it is brief overview of the jays season so far:

Starting Pitching: the situation is a bit fucked but honestly not as bad as it could be. Manoah fell apart but they retooled him and now hes coming back to the majors tonight. gausman is amazing and perfect. bassitt has been hot and cold but he eats innings like crazy. berrios is back to being la makina which is awesome. kikuchi is way better but still gives up hella hard contact. hyun jin ryu should be back from his injury soon.

Bullpen: honestly solid love tim mayza love the silver fox love the markham maniac whatever

Lineup: weirdly quiet. vladdy cant lift the damn ball and needs to pull more. bo still kicks ass and hits like crazy. bunch of players arent hitting as much as expected and the hitting coach is probably to blame. weird issue bringing in runs, as soon as we have runners in scoring position we just cant hit.

Defense: infield defense kind of sucks. chapman is not living up to the gold glove. bos defense is kind of sucky as usual. whatever. but the outfield defense has been fantastic and kevin kiermaier may be having one of the greatest defensive seasons ever.

Overall: were in a tough division and the rays and orioles have sort of run away with shit but were competing solidly for a wild card spot with the yankees and astros. if manoah comes back strong and ryu comes back strong we can focus on trading for solid bats at the trade deadline and make a genuine push.
